I'm looking for someone to build three 10-15 sec. video clips from a one hour DVD (DVD-R from amateur video). Ideally, I'd send you a copy of the DVD, the starting time points, lengths, and you'd send me back the three files.

I want to offer the DVD for sale on my site, and would like to have the three clips as downloadable previews.

I want maximum compatibility on the "player" end, no fancy streaming stuff, and I'd like to keep each of the three files < 1MB, so (with my limited knowledge), I'm thinking:

mpeg-1
160x120 image size (or similar)

If you're interested, please give me a cost estimate (via PM if you prefer). Or, if you know of a commercial outfit that might do this for a reasonable fee, please let me know. (Most of the multimedia companies I contacted didn't respond, but one that did gave me a price of $275, which seems a bit steep to me.)

If you know anyone with Flash MX, they should be able to do this for you. It would be fairly straighforward and would give you the compatibility you desire.

Just a thought.

Hello:

I can do this for you if you still are looking around. Actually I would recommend they be done in Windows Media format, as this gives the best quality and keeps the size down. And Windows Media Player is available for both PC and MAC, and this format is widely accepted.

Normally I just do Webcasting and Streaming video services, but I can do this for you as well. Just let me know.
