only kidding..

Hiya folks,

This is Part 2 of

What's The Best U Can Say About FQ?

Thanks to those who responded to my previous thread.
Your testimonials (the useable ones) are now viewable :

http://betterwebhosts.com/testimonials-futurequest.htm

BUT FQ is 5 this year - how about the rest of u happy FQ customers.

Tell us about how FQ is like compared with your previous hosts.
That ought to make interesting reading.

Target is 20 testimonials.

BTW BWH is not officially launched yet - Oct 1 is the official date.
Also googlebot came by a bit too soon.

So u can find BWH via keywords such as

"better reliable web hosts" or

"good better best web hosts"

and of course

"good better best web hosts"

where we come up tops!.

And I didn't even submit to Google.

The reason for the OCT 1 launch is to give BWH a bit more time to
beef up the categories for Good and Better hosts.

The Best category is final until earliest Jan 15 2004.

Thanks Deb for greenlight to use the comments.

Only trying to help FQ make more $$$:police:

I'm still thinking...

Good to see an NT host in your Best category. If past "luck" holds I'll be looking for one in the near future, since I've yet to find the mythical FutureQuest of ASP hosting.

If only we could convince Terra that he needs a new challenge. ;)

NT host?? :hair:

Yes, even FQers sometimes need NT hosting. I'd much happier running that site here, but converting from ASP/Access to PHP/MySQL is just too big a job. :(

Well, special needs are special needs, Randall. I think you are right in this case. ;)

I was just remembering, for example, when I was begging some NT host for days and days only to change file permissions, so that my software could work. :waa: (At the end, they needed to apply "full control" permissions, to get it working).

Now, with the FQuest Linux servers, I can change this and other things (.htaccess, etc.) myself anytime. :yeah:

Just one small example, Microsoft crashes® aside.

There's a big change coming to FutureQuest in I think a couple of months, but I lost track of the time. There will probably be improvements that come with it that haven't even been mentioned. You might want to check back here then.

2 and a half actually.

OrcsWeb and ASPWebhosting are NT only

while Combustion does Unix, Windows and A Hybrid (Unix/Windows combined)

Is FQ diversifying into NT?

It's IMO better to specialize and not try to be everything to everybody.

------------------

BTW if not for Orcs and ASP the Best category would have had only 2 winners.
Looks more balanced and complete now that there're 4.

-----------

In The Better category we have Alentus (NT) and Sectorlink. (Unix n NT).

Welp, I have a chance for my review now...
I found FQ back in 1999 (something like . March that year) and hung around the community forums quite a bit. I was at the time hosted by Best Internet (who was bought out by a few companies then by Verio) and their service went completely downhill from then on. So in December of 99 I decided I'd give FQ a shot, good prices for what features I got so it was worth the chance... That decision was one of the best ones I have ever made, 4 years later I am proud to say I am still with them though no longer on a community server but as their *brag* 1st colo customer! Terra and team have bent over backwards to help me out and to get me out of some sticky situations (can anyone say glibc?) By far FQ is one of the top hosts out there! I have seen FQ's name mentioned with companies such as Verio and other big hosts, which I am sure Deb and Terra never expected (or did they?) and are very proud of that.
This December will mark my 4th year with FutureQuest and hopefully I'll be in Florida so maybe a chance to drop in and say hello and thank you.

make a difference?:D

Oh ohh Tom! My comments on someone elses site, never thought that day would happen!
No problem for the comments, there's just too much good stuff to say about FQ and I couldnt find the correct words for it.
Thanks!
Brad
