Interesting - just got a couple mails back with reasons such as:
<snip>blocked using spews.relays.osirusoft.com, reason: Please stop using relays.osirusoft.com</snip>

And it's on /.

NSXDavid writes "Earlier today our site mysteriously ended up on Joe Jared's Osirusoft SPAM blacklist which is used by lots of antispam software (like SpamAssassin and sendmail). Since he is currently under a serious DDoS attack, there was no way to appeal this decision. We contacted Mr. Jared by phone who informed us that 'everyone needs to stop using Osirusoft and that he's going to be shutting the service down.' Then he says he's going to blacklist 'the world' (aka, ban *.*.*.*) to get his point across. Later on this evening, he apparently went ahead and did just that.<snip>."

Thx for the slashdot link on this subject. I have another
ISP that I use for personal email and bread N butter stuff.
When I reported bounced emails, he initially blamed a
large ISP for blocking his service; but I saw the bounced
msg's referred to "osirusoft". He removed his spam filters
and later confirmed the situation was due to osirusoft. A
Web search I did yesterday only showed that many people
found it hard to contact osirusoft to correct their
so-called mislisting of "good" ISP's as spammers. My
review of some of the links in the slashdot article says
it's no fun running a blackhole list. It's a little surprising
such lists are not managed and supported by some collection
of ISP's, instead of by what amounts to volunteers and
donations. Very eye-opening info.

Wow... this should have some interesting repurcussions... lol.

I actually got several Osirusoft bouncer earlier this evening; but did not think much of it, figuring it was probably Sobig.F fallout.

The part that really worries me in the /. article, though, is this:

"... email admins around the globe are reconfiguring their mail servers."

Ya wanna bet?
