which keywords to target?

Hello,

We have been running a small business classified site for a while (hosted at FQ :)
http://www.look4business.com

Although ranking seems to be good in Google for the following search keywords
"business classified" (first page in Google)
"b2b opportunity" + "b2b opportunities" (rank #1 in Google)
we get too few visitors.

English not being my mother tongue, I am wondering wether those targeted search keywords are appropriate.
One of the other problem I am also aware of is the main application CGI script which "prevent" entire directory to be crawled by search engines.

Any advice would be highly appreciated regarding keywords choice.

Posting an ad has never been easier. Adding your classifieds is FREE. There's a lot to be said about the above quote from your main page. Free advertising, free classifieds, free promotions, free links etc etc etc

#2 all of the way.... free things are great for the web searches and you actually have something valuable that you are offering for free.

Even I am on the constant lookout for places I can stick a link to FutureQuest at ;)

Now the tagline was a bit sarcastic toward the many other things that are "completely free for only $19.95" ;)

You need to put yourself into your potential customer's shoes. What keywords would they be entering in a search engine if they were looking for your services? It's one thing to have lots of traffic, but something different to have 'targetted' traffic.

Personally I'll settle for a few paying customers rather than lots of window shoppers.

If you haven't already, try using Wordtracker and Overture to hone in on your keyword targetting.
