First off, I haven't yet said Hi to anyone here but Deb and Terra. So, I'll take this opportunity to say "Hi!" to all y'all.

I doubt anyone here knows who I am, although I recognize most of the names. Some of you probably know my wife as Julie from SplitAngels.

Introductions aside, I have a story to share (of a recent dream I had), and some questions to ask in regards to said dream.

(first the funky dream)
I was working on my car ('73 Datsun 240Z), and the carbs were broken (which they are), and I kept getting a 500 internal error from the Z. That wasn't so bad tho as the other problem, the .htaccess file was messed up and Apache Guardian wasn't telling me that the carbs were returning a 500 error!

(now the questions)
Have I been playing with the web and programming too much? Is that a sign that I should lay off the perl for a wee bit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Thanks,
Del

Hey Del,

I certainly understand your concerns. I think we can avoid your need for a therapist so far though.

My best advise would be to leave the car alone for awhile. It's obvious that the broken carbs have you overly stressed and upset... as shown by your dream.

Possibly if you could remove the stress of your car troubles you could then get onto coding without having the carbs as a distraction.

Hope this helps
Deb

Hi Del, it's nice to meet you.

We'd like to visit your page (as listed in your profile), but M$IE says file not found!

Can relate to the weird coding dreams -- we have those, too, when we've been doing to much work on our webpage!

See you around,

Adra of Bekariso

Very glad y'all don't think I need to seek therapy for this. Was quite worried there for a bit. Whew!

As far as my HP listed in my profile, it should work now. Internic was taking their sweet time transferring the domain info over to FutureQuest, but it seems they've finally done so. If it's not working yet, it will be within a couple days (a whois now says the proper name servers, finally)

I give the scripts people names cause noone else does :-) The first two I had were just normal 'what it does' names, but that was too dull. Figured it'd be a bit more interesting to actually name them. If ya get to know me better, you'll find I think that for a lot of things tho (like names of medecines... they always have this giant funky name that noone can pronounce. If the meds were named Jose, or Ralph, or whatever, it'd be easier on everyone).

Currently all scripts are free, and prolly will be for some time. None of em are good enough yet to actually charge for (I've only been playing with perl for 4-5 months or so).
I also install scripts for people, chances are if you are found in DHearts, or have a site related to DID I'll install it, or offer assistance for free too :-)

Wow -- Would someone *PLEASE* explain to me what this -dream- thing is all about...

Is that associated with -sleep-???

Oh well, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones to not experience such weird events...

My mind is crystal clear... (Ok -- Deb has informed me the -crystal- could be interpreted as speed or "Methamphetimine"... That is *NOT* what is being implied... Coffee I.V.'s maybe -- but definitely not drugs! -- Just say NO!)

Sleep is that thing that happens between about 5am to 1ish pm, every other day :-)

Dreams are the things that happen during sleep, often caused by an overdose of crappuccino sometime during the previous day.

I envy you terra, sleeping is a waste of time, unfortunately my body and brain don't agree with me on that... someday I'll convince em!
