When: Thursday - 3/13/03
Window: 12:30am - 5:30am EST
Duration: 5 - 30 minutes
ImageStream believes they have pinned down and fixed the HDLC protocol error, that was introduced when they switched to higher performance polling drivers...
They have tested the new driver on their SmartBits testing system, and it passes all tests... It was not caught before because of a unique timing issue that had to be configured to reproduce... IOW, it was a corner case that we manged to surface...
We have been requested to upgrade the router and give the patched driver a chance for which we have agreed to do so because the capability and performance benefits of the latest release are too much to ignore...
During the upgrade time, all traffic will be rerouted out our Qwest DS-3... The actual time to upgrade the router should be ~15 minutes, with about ~30 minutes of testing before I'll turn InterNap link back up...
