I would suggest optimizing some of the graphics - each button is like 8k - and there are two graphics per button. Took a while to load.

I like the layout, though. Nice looking page.

You should always put HEIGHT= and WIDTH= in the <IMG> tags, too. In Explorer the text shows and then moves to accomodate the image when it resizes - some versions of Netscape will wait until the image loads to even show the text, though, if you don't specify the size.

I would make the buttons 16 color GIF's, which should shrink them substantially, and probably make the others 256 colors.

I sound like I'm being picky, but you asked http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

On another note, I like what you did with the frames. Normally I'm on the "I hate frames" list, but you did a nice job of it and didn't over do it. I didn't even notice them until I scrolled. It also helped with the large button images, only loading once.

I also like the comparison of the NSX with the 78 Valare Stationwagon - that's funny http://www.vdj.net/2.gif

Thanks guys/gals,
I'll try working on the graphics. I really don't want to sacrafise any quality though but I'll work with some things and see what pops up.

oh you dont necesarily have to sacrifice quality either http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif some graphics programs have a side by side cpomparison of what a compressed graphic will look like next to the original and you can adjust itso its optimized butthe quality is on par with the original- or you can purchase a programsperately - we use the Ulead smart saver ad now they have Ulead smart saver Pro which is more expensive but has a ton of added features - some basic editing tools -
but man oit was worth the money I use it al the time and now the graphic prog I have has a simlar tool so sometimes I use that if I'm already in it anyway.

Since my current web budget is alittle low due to increased website spending I use the FREE alternative... http://www.gifoptimizer.com

It works great and is free...

well after a quick swap of the buttons and a little html I think the buttons load a lot quicker. at least for me http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif I used photoshop and their gif export gives you a preview of the image so that worked pretty well... you guys didn't happen to find any dead link/pics did you? I think I got things cinched up but you never know. thanks again for your help

ooo looks good but yeh the graphics really need to be optimized - they are really big for web images - this is one of my pet peeves hehe although your site aint as bad as others on huge files hehehe when I got a ahole of rabbit rescue I tool 4 megs of graphics and compressed them down to 280 K hehehe
I eventually got so tired of waiting the 1/2 hour for the page to load that i felt iot was myt duty to intervene - I've been working th site ever since (and still have to clean up people's huge graphic files but they're not nearas bad as they usedtobe!)
