View Full Version : [FQuest Alert] Qwest Network issues

Since 8:30am this morning, Qwest routes have not been stable for us causing intermittent connectivity issues...
I have gone ahead and shutdown the Qwest link, and shifted all the traffic over to our Internap link...
Hopefully later on today, Qwest will stabilize to where I can reactivate the link with confidence...

Everything appears to have stabilized with both ingress and egress flows over the Qwest side...
The Qwest transit link has now been placed back into full production...

The Qwest link has been taken down in order to perform configuration updates and testing...
All traffic has been diverted to the Internap link...
All outbound traffic is flowing properly, and inbound seems normal for this time of night...

I just tried accessing my domains and aota 10 minutes with no luck. Seems like it just came back up. Related issue?
--edit: I take it back, only some of my domains and aota are back up.

Me too. aota.net wasn't working either. Glad it's not my virus!
I've had intermittent problems today, including trouble getting on to aota a few minutes ago.

Yes, I am converting over all iBGP ==> eBGP route filters, over to static ==> eBGP filters... You just felt the tremor of that being readvertised to our peers... I also took that opportunity to tweak the flap damping system, which will help to reduce iBGP convergence overhead... In short, more stability in the routes in case an iBGP peer falls over (think HUGGIN a couple weeks ago) - with better performance overall...
