Unhappy with Dotster

:mad: Does anyone know how to reach a person At Dotster. None of the websights they have available have a contact number. Its as if they do not want you to know who they are or where they are located. I have had my domain cancelled with them for two years but they keep blocking our websight every December, the month it expired when we were with Dotster. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Has been posted in the past as a valid phone number to contact Dotster.

However in doing a whois search for the domain name associated with your status I see that Dotster is listed as the Domain registrar associated with that domain :confused:

Hi Bob, Thanks for the info, if Dotster is still shown as our host that creates another problem for us as we have been paying our internet and websight provider for the hosting. Will have to check into that. Thanks again for the number,

Hi again Bobby,

Hosting and Domain Registration are two very different animals. As is noted in All FutureQuest Activation Letters:

"NOTE: Ordering web hosting services is a separate process from domain name registration and DNS modifications. example.com will not work until the registration / DNS Modification process has been completed."

Unless your Host specifically provides Domain Registration as part of your Hosting Package then it is a separate deal.

FutureQuest stays far away from that as there have been hosts that offer Domain registration with their hosting packages however when you wish to move on they control the Domain registration as well :(
