I use my work address as little as possible, and I signed up for a service called changedetection.com - now I know why it's free. I never got a piece of spam before on that account until I did that. This morning I had 25.

Gee, I wonder if it's a coincidence.

Darnit.

I have catch-all e-mail set up on my account. When I sign up for something, or have to give out my e-mail, I use a name constructed out of the site/service name with a prepended from on it. So Xss site would be fromXss@.... If I get mail from that id which isn't legit, I know who sold/misused it and can bounce it easily from then on. Seems to work pretty good.

Not sure which part of that bit ya. Time to bail, tho.

I've been using http://WatchIt.us since NetMind went belly up and have been very satisfied with the service. One of the FQ site owners provides this service too but I've forgotten the URL & misplaced the link.

<update> I was mistaken...the post in the thread I remembered (http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10907&highlight=page+change+detection) was from a visitor, not a FQ site owner. %)
