If a site decides The End Has Come - can it do a reverse backflip type thing, whereby the full account assumes "parked" status of some sort? I'm thinking of a single placeholder page with contact info, for those wondering what happened to the site.

What happens when people request whateversite.com/whateverpage.html (that is, not the index page, presumably the "placeholder" named above) - ya know, something deep in the site they'd bookmarked ? Does it automagically display the index page via some fancy .htaccess work (hey, point the Error Document line at the index, that'd work, right??)

Just thinking through options on behalf of a client . . .

You get a VERY small bit of information to display:Description: Please provide us with a brief description (25 words or less) of your site. This will appear on your temporary home page. NO HTML

Just to clarify.

I read Mandi's post as indicating keeping the package open as an IR of some nature and not changing it to a Regular Parked Package.

If you did change the package to Parked then Frank's comments are very valid. However if you are able to keep the site as an IR you would be able to still control .htaccess as well as multiple email accounts for it.
