basic bandwidth question

A webmaster I know is using a combination of perl and php to generate dynamic pages, and is having issues about bandwidth. Does anyone know, in the general case, whether the use of perl and php in this way would add bandwidth compared to say, using static pages?

I know there are server issues involved also, and am trying to get this across to him, but right now the issue is the bandwidth.

Hello Thor,

Bandwidth is simply a measure of the number of bytes transferred from your server space to other computers. It doesn't matter whether the bytes that are transferred were generated dynamically or not. Bytes is bytes.
