I'm browsing the forums on a Mac running IE 5.0 today, logged in, but the logout feature doesn't appear to properly destroy the cookie. I'll manually delete the cookie, but thought FQ might like to know. -Matt

I will research this to see if other complaints such as this have been made. As I have not heard any other complaints with this issue it might have been a fluke.

I just tried it in IE 5.1 Mac, and logging out does delete two of the four cookies: "bbpassword" and "bbuserid." Two cookies remain: "bblastvisit" and "sessionhash."

Same in Mozilla 1.0. Doesn't concern me, I just thought I'd fill in some details.

The others should propably stay by design. Did it log you out succesfully? For the original poster, it appears 5.00 has some sporadic cookie issues which were fixed in 5.01

I was, in fact, using IE 5.00. All 4 cookies remained after every instance of hitting the "Logout" button. Wasn't too hard to get rid of the cookies manually. Perhaps the cookie values could be modified to some nonexistent user, instead of being deleted, to solve this problem? -Matt
