We have been experimenting with eZ publish, an open source mini cotent management system (http://ez.no). It offers content management, intranet, forums, browser-based publishing. We like it a lot, but it requires installation by the ISP (for technical reasons, not licensing: it's open source).

We have a number of sites at FQ, and have moved one of our FQ sites and set up on new client site to an ISP who provides eZ publish accounts. However, we REALLY like FQ, and would much rather keep all of our business with you. We are creating a business that will offer eZ publish websites to nonprofit organizations.

Is there any chance that FQ could offer eZ publish accounts? Perhaps as a value-added service to dedicated hosting?

Regards,

Cheryl

PS about eZ publish: Makes it easy for an organization with limited technical skills or software (and with geographically distributed staff) to maintain large websites (browser-based admin and publishing) with content separated from presentation to guarantee uniform appearance.

Based on PHP, MySQL, qt, ImageMagick. Installation is pretty technical.

Hi Cheryl,

If it is dependent on ImageMagick, I'm afraid the answer would be "no" for running this on any of the Community Servers as ImageMagick has been banned for various reasons.
