FTP (SONIC) server down?

Unable to connect, using both domain name and domain ip...

Assuming you are referring to your .ca domain, I just tested its FTP access and was not able to see any problems whatsoever. I also tested one of my own domains on SONIC and it's working fine as well.

What FTP client are you using and what is the error message, if any? You may need to just double check all of your settings to ensure there is not a configuration error.

Yes, the powerbooks.ca domain

No error message yet.... handshaking but doesn't progress any further. http to the domain is okay. I will check my client again. But the same client can access my sitedish.com domain without problem.

...ftp via browser works as well..... definitely my own problem. Thanks Deb,

Is it set to use Passive Mode ? If not...give that a try...

I am using vicom ftp client on the mac... set to passive transfer

It was an internal glitch at my end. I recreated the bookmark, eventhough it appeared to be the same as the old one. It solved the problem. :)
