I registered a domain with internic and parked it at register.com in December. I got a letter and confirmation number from register.com the same day; the letter from internic showing domain name registration had been completed arrived within another day or two; and internic's invoice arrived about 3 days later. I signed up here on Jan. 10th and I have gotten confirmation of my FutureQuest site, etc., from futureQuest, but nothing, nada, zilch, zero, from internic. Wasn't I supposed to get an authorization request from internic? Can I fill out the form myself to change servers even though it's already been submitted by futureQuest? If I do that, can I change the tech contact from register.com's person to myself (which would let me transfer right away .... or would it?) Sigh.

When transferring domains do you usually get any kind of confirmation from Internic that they are working on it? Is there a tracking number or is that something they finally give us when it's all (finally) finished? I totally understand this is internic's problem, but I hate to see my time being eaten up with waiting. thanks, ya'll

I have sent you a private email, with details of the Internic transaction...

Answer:
No, but internic does seem to be missing at the moment (see Del's post "Internic Bugs Me")

terra, could you send the email again? My server has been bouncing my mail all day (because I've overrun the number of files allowed). thanks.
