Sliding DHTML Layers

I want to create a sliding DHTML layer. The ultimate goal is this: When you mouse over a graphic, a specified DHTML layer will slide into place horizontally. I need to be able to specify from which direction it moves, and specify absolute placement.

Does anyone know how to do this, or can you point me in the direction of a script? I looked and found some close, but they were limiting.

these are a couple of the better scripts i've worked with.

also if you're a win peecee sorta person, you can download a windows program at:

unfortunately, that program won't work on the mac.
