I know that Netscape email is the worst to use, but it's convenient and up until now I've had no major problems.[nbsp][nbsp]But I'm now trying to retrieve my emails and it says I have 5 new -- it begins downloading the 1st email but never finishes...it just gets stuck somewhere in the middle and stops.

I think there's one email that's too big a file and it's stopping all the rest from getting through.[nbsp][nbsp] I'm going to try Mollymail and see if I could retrieve them.[nbsp][nbsp]Any suggestions?[nbsp][nbsp]

TIA,

Joi~

Hi Joi,

Using telnet to log into your email account, you can see how many and what size they are and remove them if necessary.

This tutorial explains how:

I hope this helps :)

Well, I tried telneting (I have to use xdomain) but authorization is still failing :(. All I get is -ERR authorization first.

Hi again Joi,

I'm not sure what operating system you are using as that will make a difference in how you have to access, if you are using the windows telnet client.

For me, using Win 2000 it's rather simple ,
just type
open mydomain.com 110
then when +OK <xxxx.xxxxxxxxx@server.FutureQuest.net> comes up
type
user xmydomain-xxxxxxxx
pass xxxxxxxx

If you are using another telnet then you will need to make sure you are changing the settings to open port 110.

I hope this may offer some additional help,
Bob
