I recently set up a mailing list at:
http://www.localflavour.co.uk/news.html
I tested it with several addies and all seemed well. However, I have just discovered from Local Flavour that exMLM will not always accept certain e-mail addresses and I can't work out why not. Basically, as we are in the UK, many folk have a co.uk address. If you try to sign up with this you often get to a page that informs you that your e-mail address is invalid. I just tested again with two co.uk addresses and I got to the error message page. I then tried again 10 minutes later with the same addresses and they were accepted!!! Any advice on this would be most welcome.
Thank you :)

Hi Jenny,

I signed up for your email list via your web site from a personal yahoo email account and i received the confirmation fine, it took a little time, but that could be due to many varying reasons.

I was also able to reply without difficulty.

At least for me, it worked fine from Yahoo.

I hope this helps :)

Have a Good One,
Bob

Thanks very much for taking a look, Bob. I, too, have managed to subscribe from Yahoo now, so that just leaves my friend with his crashing computer and one or two others who have not managed to subscribe. I'm stumped... I'll look into it more - try to find out exactly what happens when others attempt it.
Thanks again :)

Since this morning, a friend managed to subscribe from Hotmail but on attempting to confirm the subscription his computer crashed. This happened on 4 consecutive occasions. I have just attempted to subscribe from Yahoo but no confirmation letter is forthcoming so I can't follow it up. If I subscribe via one of my .com POP accounts, I never seem to have a problem with any of it. I did customise the text files of the response letters, but I haven't touched anything else.

Oh dear :(
