It occurred to me that paying the rent might not be a bad idea - so I'm looking at starting up a web site that might actually generate a little income. Ads!
I know less than zero about the subject. I've looked for basic info without luck. Can anyone point out a site that discusses the ins and out of banner ads?
The site will be mainly of local interest and so I'd be approaching relevant local businesses for advertising on it. I have no idea how banner ads work, how much to charge, etc etc ad infinitum. (no pun intended)
