I'm guessing you mean it went to 640 x 480 resolution...
You have to get to the control panel - open it up, click display, and try to move it as high up as possible so you can see the buttons. You may need to auto-hide the taskbar.
Then click the settings tab at the top, and drag the little slider that says "Desktop Area" to the right and click apply.
You know what's wierd? It did that to me the day before yesterday... Win98 bug??? Out of nowhere it was 640 x 480 at 16 colors. Not safe mode, either. It just got wierd on me.
Hope that helps, anyway.

Ah, monitor glitches.... :P
My monitor is set at 800x600 but the monitor I bought with the computer was set at 1024xwhatever, so sometimes when I turn the computer on, but leave the monitor off, the puter tries to load the screen at 1024. It looks incredibly awful, and I can't click anything cuz the screen images are repeating on top of themselves a billion times.
The only solution I've found is to reboot the puter, and leave the monitor on.
I don't know WHY it does this, cuz my control panel and everything are set to the right size, but it just refuses to cope if I don't turn the monitor on as the puter is booting.

A lot of monitor problems lately huh?
Mine recently decided to have a personality disorder. It decided it's no longer a 17in monitor in the width department and that it's actually a 15in width. Once I have time I'll seek some counselling for it. http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif Until then I've decided to think of it as the sideways letterbox version of the net.
