NSI discount on .net/.org

Some of you may have already noticed, but Network Solutions has a discount on .net and .org domain names.[nbsp][nbsp]I believe it is $10 off through January 15th.

Any thoughts on whether this is a sign of anything?[nbsp][nbsp]Pricing changes?[nbsp][nbsp]New tld's forthcoming?[nbsp][nbsp]Trying to keep from losing business to the new registrars?[nbsp][nbsp]After christams clearance sale?[nbsp][nbsp]:)

Not sure the reasoning behind it, except there seems to be a great many people who only buy the .com's for the spec investments, they're not out developing websites.[nbsp][nbsp]Only to leave .net/.org's behind.[nbsp][nbsp]
Looks like the curb appeal for the .net/.org's just isnt there :(

Wish the discount was $20.00 off, but any discount is welcome from netsol :)

Register.com is their biggest competition. They just applied (last week), for a $80 million dollar IPO, their proposed NASDAQ symbol is RCOM. I don't think Network Solutions is threaten by this move, hence triggering this discount, NetSol has a huge client base, and a strong stock position.

Give Register.com some time to build, then watch the fireworks!

New TLD's?[nbsp][nbsp]Now that would be a nice addition to the new year :)
