Does anyone know if having ssi and some dynamic content (cgi) on our front page lessens our chances of being listed well in certain search engines?

We have only been a web presence for about a year and a half, but some search engines have us listed really well. I added a few spots on the front page that incorporates useage of our keyword meta-tags on the page itself, and I streamlined out our meta tags in general.

Mainly, we want to come up as the resource for[nbsp][nbsp]the search terms "lesbian magazine"

I submit to the crawlers every once in a while. Yahoo, I am very careful with, as I know they are very very fussy. We are listed, but not well. With a terrible description. I filled out a change form, to no avail.

Our web site is here (http://www.curvemag.com)

There shouldn't be any problem having dynamic content on the front page.

I don't see any reason for regularly submitting to the SE's.[nbsp][nbsp]It's probably not going to make them come around any faster, and it might just lead them to remove your listing or lower its ranking (older pages generally rank better).

I haven't had any luck for a while now with Yahoo submissions, but a change request went through practically same day.[nbsp][nbsp]Of course, I was lowering it in the alphabetical list for a more accurate picture of the site name and content...

There should be no problem as long as all the pages you want indexed don't have a "?" in the URL because some search engines don't like those. A work around to this is to use mod_rewrite which FutureQuest proudly supports.
