Hello my fellow FutureQuesterians - I need advice.

A client's site has been spidered by hotrate.com.
I hadn't heard of it before.

She forwarded the following email to me because she thought it was odd. I think so too because:
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]- it contains the user-id for the site
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]- it emails to "cgi-bin@ambedois.com"
The cgi-bin is dissallowed in robots.txt (assuming this is relevent).
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]- there were actually 2 emails, the other being a negative review of the site. It appears that Editors/Reviewers earn money for doing reviews.

I've never seen a "Congratulations" email before which contains the user-id for the site.
Is there reason to be concerned?
Thanks everyone - I'm looking forward to you opinions!

Those 2 lines show your 'catch-all' feature at work...

I doubt that you have 'cgi-bin' setup as an email account...[nbsp][nbsp]It sees that you don't have this email setup so it does a lookup to find out which email account is handling all ?unknown? addresses for your domain...

The 'catch-all' is always pointing to your primary email address as this is known to always exist...[nbsp][nbsp]It cannot be changed to point to something else as this would create a flurry of bounces back into my system box which can get ugly real quick...

However, you can visit your CNC and turn off the 'catch-all' feature to prevent such ?unknown? resolution in the future...

Of course, that makes sense.

Thanks Terra!
