What is the cheapest way to advertise?

Cheapest, most difficult, and most expensive way to advertise can all fall into pleasing your current clients ;)

I'm sure you'll find many many answers to this question including submitting your sites to search engines, participating on open forums as well as within mailing lists, sending out press releases, joining free banner exchanges, remembering to include your URL with every email and other writing you submit everywhere etc etc etc... there really are a numerous amount of ways to "go for it"...

One of my favorites on the net that I've been seeing more and more of though is "Free Content".[nbsp][nbsp]With the thousands of web sites being built it seems everyone is looking for more content to add to their site.[nbsp][nbsp]How often do you see things like "email us suggestions!", or "send us your article" etc etc...[nbsp][nbsp]With each of these you could send them an article that they will add to their site w/o forgetting to note your URL and service etc....

If you search for "Free Content" even at places like altavista you'll find many sites that all they do is give away free content![nbsp][nbsp]The rule for using the article?[nbsp][nbsp]Simple.[nbsp][nbsp]Just be sure to add the blurb at the bottom that notes the author and their services as well as their url ;) woohoo free advertising and a link ;)

For a site like yours, I would consider visiting many of the other sites with similar offers.[nbsp][nbsp]I've noticed that an enormous amount of the Host Directories & Developers Sites have areas for submitting articles etc.... writing a good valuable article that is general in nature yet specific to the topic at hand, and then freely distributing it to other web sites (with the only requirement being a link) can really help.

Also once your site starts making enough revenue consider advertising on small-medium sites that have traffic, but arnt really advertising.. You can usually advertise there cheaply... You could also do advertising at goto.com but not sure how much it would cost for your demographics..
