Domain name forwarding

Question?
Does domain name forwarding have an effect on search engine placement. If you use your domain name and not the forward will I make a difference.

I'm concerned about using domain name forwarding.

It depends on how exactly you are forwarding...

If it's an internal redirection -- then most search engines wont notice.

If it's a regular redirection and/or a 'refresh tag' then many search engines will ignore the domain name and only accept the true address....

The redirect will only affect your site if it is a quick redirect. Using a meta refresh with a 5 sec time direct is a safe bet.
