make logo transparent

I have an original drawing my brother gave me for my Mom's Monthly Survival Guide newsletter but I can't get it to become transparent. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the white spots with PSP 5.00?[nbsp][nbsp]Any suggestions on the size it should be would help me, too?

I don't use PSP any more, but the same idea will work.

Replace all the white color in the drawing with the same color of pink that your background is.

*THEN* save it as transparent... or even with the pink background.

Tried to work with the picture you have on the site - it's already in a somewhat unrecoverable format.[nbsp][nbsp]Do you have the original picture before any editing?
