Image Separation?

I'm looking for software which "cuts" an image into several smaller images for display on the web.[nbsp][nbsp]Does anyone know the term used for this process?[nbsp][nbsp]Better yet, does anyone know of any software which does this?

I use a great program called Macromedia Fireworks 2... Does much more than what you're asking for...[nbsp][nbsp]you can get a 30 try-before-you-buy version at http://www.macromedia.com

It's definitely worth the $179 that it cost me. Made by the same people who created shockwave, flash, director, and dreamweaver. Awesome company.
