It has been determined that Drive-0 in the SCSI chain is causing a strong enough SCSI bus reset that it is causing the Linux Kernel to freeze...

I will be taking ASTRO offline in the next hour to perform the drive swap and mirror reconstruction...

As this is Drive-0, the procedure is a bit more complicated as this drive holds the MBR (Master Boot Record) that LILO depends on for initial kernel loading...[nbsp][nbsp]This I have to work around by:
1) building a custom RAID boot floppy
2) bringing up the RAID in degragated mode
3) reconstructing the boot mirror
4) reboot the server off the MBR
5) finish reconstructing the final mirrors

My work should go swiftly, but there is always a probability of snags along the way...

Our apologies for the problems this has caused...
