View Full Version : FQuest Introduces Paul Hale: New Team Member
Paul Hale has officially joined the FutureQuest Team![nbsp][nbsp]Many of you have seen Paul around the forums as a Site Owner since 1998 so there isn't much I need to explain about him :)[nbsp][nbsp]
Paul is *very* familiar with all things FutureQuest, is truly dedicated to the success of FutureQuest overall, and has interacted with most of us via the forums, his web sites, and/or email.[nbsp][nbsp]Paul will be working primarily in personal relations, sales/marketing, and ensuring the Site Owner's wishes in these areas are upheld.[nbsp][nbsp]
He will be helping to ensure we are hearing all of the requests made by the site owners, in addition to helping us to announce new features in a way that all of the site owners will hear us, and researching options that will bring these things to reality.
He is currently working on the concept of an Affiliate Program as a way to say thank you for all of the kind words and referrals you have provided for FutureQuest.[nbsp][nbsp](Now don't start asking too many questions just yet.. let's give him the chance to setup his desk first *grin*).[nbsp][nbsp]This of course is just one of the many ways we plan to put his skills to work.
So welcome him aboard and of course give him a hard time as you see fit :P

The level of professionalism and completeness you have displayed thus far will fold into the 'FutureQuest way' exceptionally well...
Paul also has several strengths, where Deb and I have had weakness in regards to deep drilling specific projects and tasks that have long since been on the 'ToDo' list...
Many people often wonder how we will manage our growth...[nbsp][nbsp]I believe that secret lives within our ability to listen to our feelings and instinct by seeking out exceptional talent that understands what we are all about...[nbsp][nbsp]Growth is at it's best when the team is working like a finely tuned system of events...
Welcome to the team Paul!

Welcome Paul ;) !!
Joi~
Hi there..
Thank you Deb, Terra and the rest of the FQ team for allowing me the opportunity to work for.. and with you.
As Deb has said.. an Affiliate Program is the first order of business and work is already underway toward achieving that goal. I know this is something FQ has wanted to have in place for some time, and I'm pleased that I am being allowed to help in that area.
Thanks again..
Paul
On a personal note.. I have found that my own internet related endeavors are too much for this stage in my life, so I will be liquidating all in some fashion, so to have but one focus. :)

Congrats all around!

I hope that this won't change the existing reseller plan which seems to work very nicely (at least for me--I hope for you too) :)

Ugh, "Marketing" has such negative connotations...[nbsp][nbsp] What next, "Resident PHB"?[nbsp][nbsp];)
Welcome aboard, Paul.[nbsp][nbsp]:)

What next, "Resident PHB"? Please define and expand on why Marketing is a bad thing...
Thanks...

I was refering to the Dilbert-type marketing personas.[nbsp][nbsp]The word just doesn't strike me as 'right'... *L*
Please define and expand on why Marketing is a bad thing...
Are you on Interland's mailing list for those little glossy cards every couple weeks?[nbsp][nbsp]
I can't help wonder who in their right mind would want their hosting fees going to print cards which 99.99% of the time are going directly into the circular file...
When someone says "marketing", the worst of the previous week's barrage immediately comes to mind.

Jeff, I can agree with your observations...
Let's hope that FutureQuest can redefine the bent word of 'Marketing' into something more positive...[nbsp][nbsp]:)
Our goal is to be non-intrusive, besides I'd rather spend the money on high-tech and high-quality equipment (and personnel) rather than killing more trees...

I can't help wonder who in their right mind would want their hosting fees going to print cards which 99.99% of the time are going directly into the circular file... I don't know if it applies to Interland, but I would guess that most 'net companies that advertise in such a fashion do so through investment financing and a mindset of, "We don't need to turn a profit, we'll just be bought out eventually."[nbsp][nbsp]I doubt it is reflected in hosting fees directly, but I could be wrong.

[nbsp]Haven't been on the boards a lot, been a lurker most of the time. Found a lot of answers here, many things that helped along the way. Futurequest has been a darn good Hosting Service.
[nbsp]However, it is now time to move on. Have a good one everybody, Deb, I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors! Some things cannot be forgotten, ever!

It seems 'Congratulations' are more appropriate than a 'Welcome aboard...' given your long-standing community involvement. Congratulations and enjoy working with a great bunch of folks!
