View Full Version : FQuest Alert: TAZ and NINE

Looks like NINE and TAZ decided to go out for dinner (with each other) tonight...

Both servers froze up for different problems, within 5 minutes of each other... :(

NINE's problem was the infamous 'wait_on_bh' lockup that we are still researching and trying to patch up...

TAZ's problem was with a network card freeze that forced a special trip to completely remove power as the hard reset was not even kicking it over...

Currently, NINE is back online and 100% operational...[nbsp][nbsp]TAZ is back online except for Real Audio and POP email systems...

I should have TAZ's POP services back online within an hour as it is going to require an upgrade to the supervise sub-systems...

As it stands, FutureQuest's 'support@' email is currently down (which ties into the EMS system), but you can still visit http://service.FutureQuest.net and use the online forms for any support issues not related to TAZ's POP and/or Real Audio as we are already aware of the issues...

Our apologies for the inconvenience this has caused...

Same here :(
No email for the last six to eight hours on all pop accounts and forwarders of the q-go.net/com/org domain (running on NINE) while mail on dmo.com (SIX) is ok.
Our employees are not happy at all...

Anyone mail support yet?[nbsp][nbsp]Usually the FQ team are on the ball and an answer is available within minutes... but for some reason it's been over an hour at least and not a peep in two threads...

Does this affect outgoing mail as well, or only incoming mail?

Paraphrase from Dilbert...

Ok, it works now.

Question is, what happened to all the mail that came in from the time the server went haywire?[nbsp][nbsp]I am short quite a number of emails - probably as much as 80%.

Never mind.[nbsp][nbsp]It looks like they are coming in now, slowly but surely.

Glad to know that the emails were received properly! :)
