I've signed up a few new accounts here lately for clients, and noticed that when I submit the info, I get an autoresponded message that includes data I've entered (Like my name for instance).

This is exactly what one of my clients wants for a site I am designing.[nbsp][nbsp]This fellow is a Professional Santa Clause, and wants kids to be able to send him their wish lists, then have the data received placed in a custom autoresponce message. i.e. If they say there name is TODD and he wants a GREEN BIKE, the autoresponce would say "Hi Todd, I see you want a GREEN BIKE![nbsp][nbsp]

Justin, anyone.[nbsp][nbsp]Can you help me with that.[nbsp][nbsp]I have forms that Autorespond, but just aren't capable of what my client needs.[nbsp][nbsp]

BTW - You guys are great here.[nbsp][nbsp]Love the service.

Search the forums for cgiemail. This is a nice little script that will do exactly what you want.

Yup, cgiemail is definately the way to go, awesome little program.

It will definately do what you need it to - my own application is to have the forms send me html'ified emails with the info my users submit - then I just have to copy/paste updates to our site.[nbsp][nbsp](I don't like instant posts for various reasons.)

PS, here's an example of how it works:

http://www.cgspouses.net/people/babies/[nbsp][nbsp]<--- page that I update

http://www.cgspouses.net/people/babies/cgbabies.shtml[nbsp][nbsp]<--form people use to submit info (read the source to see how to set the post/action - it's a bit tricky)

http://www.cgspouses.net/people/babies/cgbabies.txt[nbsp][nbsp]<-- text page to which cgiemail writes the form submission variables

[nbsp][nbsp]I can just imagine how warm and fuzzy i would feel doing a site kids would use to reach santa.
