Hi,
I'm wondering what everyone uses as far as a banner rotation program withs stats? What is the most efficient as far as system resources go? I've been reading that WebAdverts is pretty demanding.

Any input appreciated!

http://www.314interactive.com has one that utilizes php and mysql and does pretty well.

I believe Justin has written another one that is quite nice (will he give it up?? muhahaha)

You may also want to check out http://www.cgi-resources.com/Programs_and_Scripts/Perl/Advertisements/

Yes, I have been looking at the one at http://www.314interactive.com and I've seen the one's at cgiresourcees.com. I was really wondering what works the most efficiently (and good, feature wise) or are they all about the same as far as system resources are concerned?

I use WebAdverts and it works well. However, reading the WebAdverts forum, it seems that some hosting co's are banning the use of WebAdverts because of it's system usage. I would like to be a good neighbor and use something that works well but is not draining.

I am just installing Central Ad (www.centralad.com) which seems pretty good.[nbsp][nbsp]People rave about webadverts also.

CentralAd does look good. It has basically the same features as WebAdverts.

As a non-Perl or C expert, how hard is it to install? I have installed a few Perl things but nothing written in C. Also, because it is written in C does that mean it should perform better? These may be stupid questions, but I'm a newbie to all this. ;)

Thank you!

I am pleased with Central Ad, I found it MUCH easier then Webadverts to set up, plus it has a nicer interface.[nbsp][nbsp]It installs very easily (although you have to make a slight mod to install it on FQ, there is a thread on it or you can remind me - it is NO big deal).[nbsp][nbsp]Performance is good, easy to set up zones/groups.[nbsp][nbsp]Support is pretty good, answers within 24 hours.
