Perhaps this isn't an advanced question, but here goes.
I have shared a few hyperlinks but not banners. Can anyone relate their experience in working thru the process of,
1) Creating a unique banner.
2) Transferring a banner from your site to another.

Thanks

Hi Doug!

I've made a few banners using Paint Shop Pro, which you can get an evaluation copy of at www.jasc.com (http://www.jasc.com) . It takes a while to get the hang of it, though.

You might instead want to check out the animated banner making pages that have been mentioned in the Programs and Utilities folder.

As for transferring a banner, when I have submitted my banner to others for display on their sites, I always just told them the full url of where the image could be found, and let them nab it from there. I suppose you could also email it as an attachment, or ICQ it, but letting them grab it seems most efficient.

There's a thread under Server News or Server Q&A where Deb asked for banners and urls we want them linked to, for display on aota.net. You might want to take a look and see if you want to participate when you get a banner.

Good luck!

That's the tough part. My own graphics skills tend to be zero. You can start to look out for banner stuff at http://www.linkexchange.com They have lots of tutorials and links on that stuff (it's their business).
You can also try to find someone on the web that makes a banner for you. There are plenty of people doing this, but you have to look at their licenses (sometimes they want that you place a link back to them or so).

I'm not sure what you mean. You can upload the banner to your web-directory and everyone can get it using any browser.

Thanks Meikel for your response.
I have discovered the answer to my question about transferring the banner. It's just copying HTML code. It was a silly question. Should have been obvious to me.

Bekariso, have you seen jaguarwoman's web site. I don't know if I originally heard about her here or not, (I don't think so) if you haven't seen her page you should check it out. I love some of her graphics. They are found at jaguarwoman.com
