Outgoing Mail (SMTP)

Hi,

I'm currently renting a computer and that although I'm able to receive e-mails through outlook express, I'm currently unable to send out e-mails.

I know I'll be getting my new computer in a week or so, but would also like to send out some e-mails in the meantime.

I've tried both outgoing port numbers, 25 and 1025 and it didn't work in both cases. Hmm, could I be missing something here ? :hrmm:

But it may be easier & better just to switch to secure pop & smtp email protocols. For some reason there are two knowledgebase articles about it that have similar info:

Port number 587 did the trick ! :yeah:
