email attachment size limits?

Wasn't the size limit for email attachments 2-3 MB? I just received an email that was over 10 MB. It was a desired email from a client, so that's a good thing...

Did I miss an update somewhere along the line? I assumed the limit was still much lower.

Wasn't the size limit for email attachments 2-3 MB?There isn't an attachment limit, per se. There is size limit for any email message of approximately 10 - 11 MB (http://service.FutureQuest.net/kb253) (depending upon nuances of Base64 encoding).

That size limit has been in effect for quite some time (I'm able to find references back to 2002, and possibly further. Looks like the increase was possibly in 2001 as I'm finding references to 5MB during that year.)
