Two of my clients domains are not accepting email (intermitently) I get a 533 error. I went to the url for one of same client, and her site was down for a tiny bit. Sent another email to someone else, and it bounced back a 533. I send again a minute later, all is well.... Weird! I thought it could be my gmail, but the client site was down, too..... Weird.

Ok, and I've sent 2 emails to support with no automated reply. Weird!
Hello Evie,
Bruce just bounced the DNS caches as there appears to have been an overload while a DNS update was taking place that temporarily caused some stale DNS to be returned causing the bounces.
We received your two Service Desk tickets as well which we will reply to as soon as possible.
Our apologies,
Bob

Test emails not returning when sent from here too. Plus when I was checking on status aota.net returned a "server not found", went to the blogspot for status, none given. This was from about 1:35 to 1:48pm
Able to send and get test emails at 1:50 where did the ones we sent (or real ones sent to us) go?

They got bounced, I think... 533 (At least the ones I sent did)
The messages Evie sent in were bounced with a Relay Error and if you were affected and you sent from your own domain the bounces may have bounced as well.
The technicians are still investigating the cause but it appears that during a DNS update an overload situation occurred causing DNS glitches affecting local delivery of some mail and accessing domains.
Bruce bounced the DNS caches and at this time everything appears stable. At no time was the Network down as this was an Internal DNS issue with some stale/bad data being returned for a short time affecting some web site access and qmail configurations on the MX servers.
Our apologies,
Bob
