Hello Kim,

You would just select New Thread to start an entirely new subject thread...

What happens when you try and access your CNC, which must be accessed using Capital Letters "CNC" not "cnc"

You should be prompted for a Username and a Password.

Thank you Bob. Working at it fine now.
But I do have another question. I recently got a new computer, I have and use Web Page Maker V2.5, I'm running Windows Vista and Norton Internet Security on my computer, I have used the help sections from Aota tuts, Web Page Maker help section, and tried changing settings with Norton (hoping i have changed the right settings) and still can not upload my site.
I set up my ftp with the following information:
ftp://my.domain.com/%2Fbig/dom/xmydomian/www (using my domain)
using port 21, passive mode. With my user name and password and still not able to upload. Keep getting the same message:
Preparing to Connect ...
Unable to establish a connection to server:

Publishing Failed !
No clue what is happening or what I am missing here, please help anybody:dunno:

To verify that the problem is with Norton, try temporarily disabling it and see if that allows you to make a successful connection.

If so, then you would need to contact Norton support for further assistance, or perhaps other Norton users here could offer tips?

Kim those appear to be settings for FrontPage which, to my knowledge, are not used by any other program.

I downloaded Web Page Maker 2.5 from here:
http://www.download.com/3000-2048_4-10705493.html

The settings required were:
Site Host. ftp.example.com
Remote Folder: /big/dom/xexample/www
Username:
Password:

Using one of my accounts I was able to upload a file without any problem.

Remember to replace example with your domain name.

Hi Bob thank you for those suggestions, I appreciate you downloading the program to help me to. I had done those settings as well before I posted here last night. I had uploaded my site with the program before without any troubles on another computer I had with the frontpage settings thats why i used them again. But i did try those last night to, I just contacted WebPage Maker to see if they can assist me as well. Will keep you informed. I am wondering if its not the Norton, and possiblily I have missed the right setting for the program. New to the 2007 Norton Internet Security, I will keep trying if anyone has more suggestions i certainly welcome them, thanks again.

Kim,

By chance have you tried creating your pages with the program and then using a FTP Program to upload them? I personally recommend Core FTP Lite.
http://www.coreftp.com/download.html

Other suggestions may be viewed here:

Also another recommendation I make is trying NVU for creating and uploading web pages. NVU is free (as is Core FTP Lite) and there are many tutorials online for using.

More regarding NVU may be viewed here: http://nvu.com/

One tutorial is available here: http://www.thesitewizard.com/gettingstarted/nvu1.shtml
