Greetings:

I tried searching forums and did not find the answer. I have the domain buyersellerbuehler.com on futurequest and I recently went through all the DNS updates and changes for email and such and it looks as the propagation is going smoothly, but I need to move the email and I can't do that until FQ DNS servers reflect its own IP address for buyersellerbuehler.com I assume this will happen with the normal updates of DNS servers. My question is do we know how long that is? I am waiting since I am running a script from buyersellerbuehler.com on FQ and it can't see itself.. :D So I can't run it until it does.

Thanks!

Joseph

The FutureQuest team is the best and their hosting is polished goodness!

Joseph,

The FutureQuest Name Servers have the correct local information as soon as the package is activated.

However in this case InterNic doesn't even show the change yet and if you view bajaj you will see that it does not yet appear that propagation has begun?

Your Domain Registrar's whois still doesn't show any update and I would think you would want to just walk away for at least 12 to 24 hours with those results.

Interesting... I did the change on kurt-darla.com and that seems to have already gone through.

Thanks for your help.

Joseph,

Checking bajaj, InterNic and Dotster whois they all show name servers other then those of FutureQuest for kurt-darla.com as well.

This is one of the maddening things about propagation and patience is really a virtue when it comes to propagation.

Well the kurt-darla.com is not actually on futurequest. I am only overlaying the mx records to futurequest using buyersellerbuehler.com. The site for kurt-darla.com is hosted by a realtor site. Yuck! So I am really using FQ for email like I have with another one of my clients. I have the DNS hosting at dotster.com so I am running the show on where things point, so I am making sure everything is pointed right.

I do appreciate you further checking.

Interesting when I used the link provided to check buyersellerbuehler.com I notice that the graphic reflects the proper nameserver but at the bottom it has the old rackspace not sure how that works.

I will try to sit on my hands and relax. :)

Thanks again.
