I have just ordered hosting service from FQ. I used to rum my own server at home until I realized I couldn't responsibly maintain it anymore. Young kids are a much higher priority for me. I chose FQ after getting overloaded for two days of researching web hosting sites. Finally I realized most of the high bandwidth high server space for low $ must have a down side. I decided on FQ because my needs are modest and it seems like most people are happy with them.

Questions. I've already redirected my domain to FQ servers I've requested and account and got the activation request E-mail but no actual activation E-mail yet. How long does it take to get the confirmation E-mail with the setup documentation.

I/we develop with Go Live, does FQ support WEB DAV? I see FTP and Telnet are supported by couldn't find anything on DAV

I kind of have the willys about farming this stuff out. I like the comfort of my own server.

Ciao

Hi and welcome. :)

We did receive your order and it is currently in the Activation Queue. New orders are set up within 24 hours and an Activation Letter/Invoice will be sent at that time. (It will most likely be done much, much sooner than 24 hours.)

FutureQuest does not support webDAV and I don't believe it is something under consideration for the standard shared servers for the reasons indicated in these posts:

Melissa,

Thanks so much for the information. I received my Activation letter. I appreciate your response about webDAV as well as the security issues.

Have a good one

<I decided on FQ because my needs are modest and it seems like most people are happy with them.>

I haven't seen any complaints yet, and have bee watching Futurequest.net forum for more than one year before even starting my own site...

It took a few hours in my case, which considering that FQ is in Orlando and I in southwest UK... is more than fast!
aota.net is also the most comprehensive hosting db to be supplied by a Hosting company! as you probably guessed, I'm perfectly happy with FutureQuest.net!!!
