Just starting, having trouble connecting!

I've used another web host for years with no problems, but their customer service brought me here.

Now I'm trying to use dreamweaver to connect. It finds the host, connects, attempts to retrieve the remote folder and times out. Every time.

What am I doing wrong? Customer service has proven no help so far.

Do you have the remote path right?

Under your Remote Info enter the following:

Access: FTP
FTP Host: ftp.yourdomain.tld
Host Directory: /big/dom/xyourdomain/www/

enter your username and password

Check the box in front of: Use Passive FTP
