Hi to all:

I did do a search on this forum for survey scripts, but the messages I found were from 2001 - there is nothing recent from 2004 or 2005.

Currently I am using Survey Monkey for some editorial surveys that I conduct about once a month. I love their stuff - very easy to use - but am sick of paying $20 per month and want to bring this task "in house"

I have little time to search through hotscripts through endless old survey scripts - want something professional looking and easy to meet my needs.

I noticed through a google search that there is a program by Chumpsoft. It is pricey at $200 - but it would pay for itself in 10 months and from what I can tell it looks pretty professional.

Here is the link:

If you know of any good or bad experiences, I would appreciate you sharing. If you have a script or sell a script or know of one you think to be good I would also love to hear that - you can post it here or send me a private message.

THANKS!

Okay - update -

I did look through hotscripts and found some good (and even free) scripts for online polls.

But there really was not anything for making good surveys - like they have on survey monkey.

So, I ended up buying the Chumpsoft program. And so far so good - it is very easy for me to use and looks great. It has all of the features I wanted and more. I find it to be more streamlined than Survey Monkey.

Best of all it will pay for itself in 10 months and I have total control.

Does the Chumpsoft software make it easy to do multi-question surveys (i.e. ask a single person to answer a 30-question survey.) Their homepage example makes it look more like a one-question poll script than what I think of as a survey script (which I'm also looking for.)

Yes. And that was a feature that was important to me, too. I wanted the ability to conduct multiple-question surveys and have a variety of answers, multiple pages to the surveys, a redirect to my URL when the survey was done AND the ability to hide results (or show them) to the participants.

I also took a lot of time to do the demo they have on their site and found it easy to use.

Plus if you don't like it, they have a 30 day money back guarantee.

I have been happy with it so far - have one going on my site right now.

They do have different skins to download - and my crafty webmaster, Dan, put in my logo for me.

I have been really happy with PHPQuestionnaire from Chumpsoft, thanks for the recommendation. I now have a client who wants the same thing, but with likert functionality that would be laid out like the quiz halfway down on this (http://www.socialresearchmethods.net/kb/scallik.php) page.

Does anyone know of something that works here at FQ and is decent software?
