OKay, one more. You can tell I am very busy.

I am stuck on the PHPAdsNew install. Have everything done but can't get into the admin screen. It's in a loop. Anybody have any ideas before I scratch the whole installation. If I try to reinstall with the existing directory tells me that's a critical error and puts me to the signon where I get in the same loop.

here's what I posted on vBulletin.org a bit ago with no response. I know it's the weekend but I'm trying to get this done. Thanks:

I am stuck in a loop with the following message right after install and trying to do the admin stuff. I get message below after successful signing in. Click Proceed and get the message below, click proceed and get the message below. Well you get the picture. Anyone know what I need to do short of installing it again all over again? I have clear cookies and reboot my Windows machine .... I even did a hard power off and brought it back up.

Welcome to phpAdsNew 2.0.9-pr1
Your system is already up to date, no upgrade is needed at the moment.
Click on Proceed to go to home page.

I will probably go try vBSponsors if I don't get a reply soon. Would like to go live this week and don't want to reinstall PHPAdsNew again without understanding what I did wrong. Any HELP???? I know it's Sunday but anybody..please?

Have you checked your PHP error logs to see if there might be any clues there?

In the CNC click on the "Troubleshooting" link and then there is a link to view the PHP error logs...

Thanks Shelia,
I do have some errors in my log but not related to this. I'll need to address these later. Based on some posts over at PHPAdsNew I have made a little progress. Looks like it's a database compatability issue.

This is where I'm at Recent post over at PHPAdsNew: Here is the thread: Help! Phpadsnew Install Stuck, Stuck in loop between sign on screen and upgrade screen after install. (http://forum.openads.org/index.php?showtopic=503412304&st=0&gopid=35762&#entry35762) If someone from FQ community has any ideas it might help me since they are familiar with FQ environment.

Here is the text if you don't want to go to the link.
Based on one of your posts in the list.
In the config.inc.php file turn database compatability mode to false and upload it, temporarily chmod to 777. Then once installed and working if you try to change this setting from the interface it will take you back to the upgrade loop page again. Could just be a fix for my install and yours is different though.

This is what I did. I manually went into the config.inc.php and changed datbase compatability to false. I can then go to the admin screen and not be stuck in the loop. IF I changed database compatability back to "true" either through the admin interface or manually in config.inc.php I go back to the loop. What am I missing. I have PHPAdsNew in a separate database form my vBulletin. I would like to run in compatabiliy mode I think????

Would really like to get past this. We're making progress. At least we know why I'm in the loop. What is the fix?

I have scratch the entire installation, deleted database, removed files off FQ server and local computer. Started over with downloading the files off phpAdsNews website, extract, ftp, create database and did complete install with no errors.

Still have same problem. If I check database compatability mode on the admin screen I get into the loop. It goes to the Upgrade screen" states click Proceed and clicking proceed goes to the upgrade screen ..... loop.

If I go to CNC and edit config_inc_php and change database compatability to false I am out of the loop and I go to the Admin screen. Now I haven't gone any further in customization because I'd like to figure this out.

Any ideas? Is there a database setting I am missing? Don't I want to run in database compatability mode? I have separate databases for vBulletin and phpAdsNew. I even have a test and a prod database set!:dunno:
