Can anyone recommend an *easy* freeware internal search engine that actually works?

Easy to install.
Easy to understand the installation instructions.

Keywords="easy", "free", "works"

Oh, and it needs to return results that can be clicked on to go to the referenced page.

Oh again, I can't use a search engine tool that uses google or alta vista or any of those 'cause they don't know about my website yet.

Does anyone have any opinion on Matt's Script Archive: Simple Search?
I know it's old; does it work anyway?

Thanks very much.

Funny... I just posted about this in another thread...

Try this KSearch:

Works great for me...

Have fun!

Thanks Bob!
Glad you're happy with it.

I figured I'd share my find: freefind.com.
I'm super impressed with it; automated setup and ability to customize the appearance. The drawback of course is that they advertise on the results page; hey, I am using their product for free.

But once I'm listed in google I can use their search utility. This is just temporary.

Appreciate the post Bob. I'll report back once my site's on google...whenever that might be.
