Nobody's ever mentioned Xaraya (http://www.xaraya.com). I'm thinking of creating a (unique?) remote file comparison plug-in for an editor (TinyMCE) or a CMS (Xaraya). It's the plug-in that would run remotely. I've eliminated some more popular CMSs and I'm still investigating whether Xaraya is the right choice. There's some good information about Xaraya here (http://drupal.org/node/36261) which I partially read, and here (http://www.opensourcecms.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=173&Itemid=0), which I haven't read yet, and of course on their website. In case I decide that's the one, here's your chance to talk me out of it because it will crash the server or whatever. I'd install in order to create the plug-in, and as long as it's installed, I might create a blog with it.
Then there's the issue of the plug-in running from my shared FutureQuest server. It's hard to estimate how often it would be accessed.
