Good Download Manager utility?

I'm seeking the community's recommendations for a stable, safe, trustworthy Download Manager utility. I've never used one of these because some of the early ones had spyware-like behaviors.

In the past, I've used both getright and flashget with fairly good results. Haven't used either in a year though so I'm not sure where they're at now.

After trying several, Free Download Manager (http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/) is the one I use. It is very versatile and stable.

I've used GetRight in the past. Nice set of features. Haven't used much else... well, other than wget.
