Is there anyway I can import all my emails from my Outlook Express on my PC to my Mac, I am using Thunderbird on my iBook. Two options:

1. If you have Eudora installed on the PC, use it to import the mail from OE. Once you get the mail files into Eudora, it's essentially the same as the Mozilla/TBird format. You just chop off the extension Eudora uses for its mail files, then bring them over to the Mac and drag them into TBird's mail folder. Restart Thunderbird, and you'll see new folders containing the OE mail you moved over.

2. Install Thunderbird on the PC, go to Tools > Import and choose OE as your source. Then move the imported mail files to the Mac.

If you're not familiar with the places Thunderbird stores mail on the Mac and PC, the release notes (http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/releases/1.0.7-release-notes.html#profilefolder) at Mozilla.org will tell you where to look for the Profile folder.

Thanks Randall, suggestion 2 sounds like a good option, I'm not sure why I didn't think of that yesterday! Your help is much appreciated, thanks.

I forgot Option #3, which doesn't involve any extra software:

Create a temp FQ email account, and set it up in OE and Thunderbird using IMAP instead of POP. Then you can drag & drop mail to the server from OE, and then drag it all into Thunderbird.

Might be a slow process if you have a lot of mail to move, though.
