Ok...
A HIT is someone (anyone) requesting any file
A PAGEVIEW is someone requesting an HTML page
A SESSION is someone who was around for more than a specified period of time (one hour is the default, I think)

Close, but I think a session counts any amount of pageviews by the same person within a 1 hour period as one session. You don't have to be at the site for an hour...

Hello,

I know this has been asked and answered before because I even read it myself <G>! However, in my age I have also forgotten what the answer was.

On the counter, what is the difference between hits and sessions?[nbsp][nbsp]I though someone said that a hit is a single individual who is unique and counted only once while a hit is those once unique visitors returning.

Thanks!
