hey graham.. where did ya hear of this? compressed html.. wanna hear how I compressed it.. *giggle* IT probably IS NOT the best, and I did not leave it, but I accidently downloaded a file directly off the server in binary to edit, and forgot to in ASCII mode, and well, when I hit save, everything went from 300 lines to 3 lines. I didn't mess anything up. The page still operated the same. I don't know about this compression thing you are speaking of.. but I suppose if there were a significance in file size, then of course it would be quicker..

anyways, got a link to share on this so I can see?

i was reading that web sites can contain up to 50% white space. i heard about a utility called 'pretty html' which squeezes html files and gets rid of all of the surplace stuff.

i downloaded pretty html http://www.mpp.at/pretty/index.htm and it does exactly what it says on the label.

i don't know enough about java script to know if it has to be laid out a special way. i have a feeling that you need to keep the spaces in.

anyway, might like to play around with this if there in nothing worth watching on tv tonight

hey graham.. what if ya imported your java script, this way you wouldn't have to worry about it messing up.

<script language="JavaScript" src="/scripts/menu2.js">

anyways.. just a thought.

well... that is discouraging.. sigh

guess, for those it won't download for, tell them they need an updated browser. (this all gets kind of discouraging to hear after a while. OR, just say, it is best viewable netscape.

or simply.. don't use this code at all.

HEY.. there are IP addresses present in the forum. I DON'T think I like that. http://www.aota.net/ubb/frown.gif
