View Full Version : Can we do public FTP from our sites?

Hi,

I am new to Futurequest. Very impressed so far! My page snaps right up.

My question: can we account holders set up public FTP access into our FTP space or a subdirectory of it? A secondary question is, can we allow for anonymous incoming FTP? (Yes, I know to beware of 'warez'.)

For instance, I try to log into ftp.donwallace.com as an anonymous user login and it kicks me out. Setting read permissions for the 'ftp' directory in my directory space does not appear to be allowed.

TIA

No, we do not offer anon ftp accounts at this time.

One option would be to get a second FTP account with a username/password like guest/guest. We've a few sites that this is working for w/o a problem. With the second account you would then established what directory they were allowed to view and not allow them anywhere else.
